Ly is not so fond of peanuts alone, or peanut butter, so she developed this peanut sauce which can be used like a salad dressing or sauce for steamed / boiled vegetables. We prefer it with steamed Chinese cabbage, fresh cucumber and tomato.
You will need:
Roasted peanuts
Fresh garlic (the more, the zestier).
Soy sauce and salt to taste
Lime juice / or lemon.
Fresh basil (not quite the same with dried basil).
Method:
Place all ingredients into a blender or food processor and add a little water to reach a “pour-able” consistency.
Blend until smooth, thick and creamy. If you have a good food processor, and use no water, it may be thick enough for a sandwich spread.
